Job Summary

Square Enix External Studios London is on the lookout for an experienced Development Director adept at delivering assigned projects on time. In this role you will be based at the PCF studio in Warsaw, Poland working closely with key project stakeholders to deliver the assigned title to agreed goals.

Please note that this temporary 12 month position will be based at the developer in Poland with occasional travel to London. The successful individual will be paid a day rate and need to submit invoices on a monthly basis.


Key Deliverables

Manage partnerships; establish regular communication with team and key stakeholders to provide project status updates. Help the team focus and filter issues based on a clear understanding of the project objectives

Help the team break down complex problems into manageable tasks and deliverables

Act as the main point of contact for Square Enix External Studios while embedded at the developer and oversee relationships with local stakeholders to ensure solid partnerships continue to evolve

Work with the local production team to ensure they have the right methodology and process to output critical project data which underpins the go-forward plan

Build and update project dashboards which show key production information

Be accountable for milestone deliverables

Proactively assess and deploy changes to mitigate risks

Determine resource requirements to meet key project goals

Support developer to build and evolve effective team, including task assignment and tracking, feedback and coaching on best practice project management

Drive efficiencies and new ways of thinking

Develop, maintain and publish project KPI’s that track project quality and delivery

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience

Essential

Significant experience of delivering AAA title projects on time and on budget

Recent console experience

Experience working in collaborative dynamic environments

Commercially minded senior operator

Strong understanding on video games development processes

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex problems

Relishes working in a fast paced, live, constantly changing and evolving environment


Desirable

Worked in a distributed development environment

The studio operates in English, so speaking Polish isn’t necessary, but it would be an advantage
